Yarn wall hangings are really widespread! I see them everywhere, especially on American blogs and of course in Pinterest‘s décor ideas. I love this type of decoration which gives a warmth to your place. It can make your home a little bit more bohemian and cozy. I promised myself I would buy one too, but then I thought that I ‘d better make one on my own.
So I visited a yarn store and I chose colors and textures that suit my living space. I wanted something in gray, so I got two shades of gray to combine them. I also chose a pink one to light up and give some color. The combination of gray – pink this year is my favorite! I have also chosen these colors for my bedroom renovation.
I also used a round balsa wood that I cut to the size I wanted. Instead of balsa, you can choose to use a sea-wood, or a tree branch.
The process is very simple. Cut the threads in equal sizes and tie them to the wood as shown in the picture. I chose the vertical stripes of colors to be of different width so that it would not be very geometric.
After I had finished I tied a rope in the balsa wood to hang it. Then I trimmed the yarn ends to get the length and design I wanted.
This was today’s DIY I wanted to show you! It has lit up my space, it was very economical and easy and I like it too! How do you like it? Would you hang something like this on your wall?
