Let’s get started! Welcome to VioletMimosa!!! We are Katerina and Lena and we are already excited about the idea of the blog. We begin this effort having great mood and we hope to attract your interest!
First of all, you will wonder “Why VioletMimosa?”. The mimosa pudica is said to be a plant with feelings. The leaves of mimosa close if you touch them in an effort to protect themselves. The aroma is overwhelming and predominantly used in the perfume industry. In a book Katerina read last summer there was the expression “this season mimosas scent like angels’ breaths.” This expression for some reason remained etched in her mind. She searched and learned everything about mimosas. So when after some time the idea of the blog came about and we were discussing its name, the mimosa was the first thing that came to her mind. Because we did not want to tangle with the yellow flowered mimosa (blue/ silver wattle), we thought of giving it color. And when Pink sounds a bit more girly which is not our style, Violet is ideal. We hope you like it!
We want VioletMimosa to be a relaxing blog, which cheers you up and gives you new ideas. We want to talk about beauty tips, cosmetics, decoration, DIY crafts, books, movies, trips, kids, sports activities and generally anything that could be discussed in a relaxing atmosphere among women. Just imagine sitting on the couch with a friend, drinking coffee and having a nice chat… This is what we want to achieve! We are not experts. Through our posts, we will simply express our personal view merely wishing to function as a big group of friends!
It is an opportunity for us to express our creativity and our artistic concerns (girls please show a little leniency regarding the photos as we are still experimenting), to communicate, to be more extrovert and to get out of our comfort zone. It is not that easy for us to write something to which everyone has access. But we decided to put aside our preconceptions and see the creation of the blog, apart from everything else, as an exercise in boosting our self-confidence.
Besides one of the messages we want to convey is that the woman of our times should know what she needs, to fight for it, and above all to have self-esteem when doing things to evolve herself because this is the only way to meet her multiple roles with a positive attitude. There are so many things known and unknown ones, common or rare, through which a woman can choose those that fit her personality. After all, uniformity has no fun!!
What will you not see in VioletMimosa? You are definitely not going to read about politics and current affairs. Not because we don’t consider them interesting. Obviously, we follow sociopolitical issues and are informed on all current affairs and we do have a lot to say about. But we won’t express these opinions here. The logic of VioletMimosa is different. Don’t forget what we said earlier! Coffee with friends!! A relaxing conversation to get a little away from the stresses of daily routine… Also not to forget, we are not going to deal with gossip topics. We believe that there are much more interesting issues to discuss that will give us the opportunity to evolve ourselves and think creatively.
Through our posts, you will then have the opportunity to know us better and you will be able to understand our way of thinking. Contact us for comments, ideas, suggestions, and anything you need at firstname.lastname@example.org. Communication and interaction is also one of our goals!
That’s for now!!! Thanks for reading!!
